Wales Several consultants and organisations based in Wales have provided us with brief details of their work, which may be of interest to those based in Wales or those seeking assistance in specific areas. They have impressed us with their skills and areas of expertise, however please note that their appearance on the website does not imply endorsement of their work. Frances is a regular contributor to a range of business magazines and until recently had a weekly column in the Western Mail (the national newspaper of Wales). Prior to becoming entirely self employed Frances worked as a Creative Development Manager for the Welsh Assembly Government; as the Chief Executive of Cultural Enterprise; and the Acting Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive of the Arts Council of Wales. Creu-ad Heritage Interpretation The Creu-ad core team are specialists in engaging communities in the interpretive process and help them to express their sense of identity. Their projects bring communities, organisations, managers and creative interpretive designers together to develop their ideas in practical ways from initial concept to product or event. These projects include writing local interpretive plans and helping communities to deliver and implement them. Creu-ad also offers training in various aspects of interpretive and public art delivery. This includes creative implementation, interpreting countryside sites, community involvement and communication skills. Creu-ad works bilingually in English and Welsh. In the context of public art an associate of Creu-ad, Polly Mason, has wide experience in, and knowledge of, the commissioning of public art and has been commissioning art for the public domain since 1993– ranging from one-off commissions to urban regeneration schemes. This has included working for many different clients including local authorities, architects, landscape architects, schools, churches, local communities and the private sector and developing projects from early site analysis through to the installation of works and the final recording and summarisation.
